Matters
Say geopolitics and most people think war. Most of it is not. It is countries chasing what they need, and it sits underneath every market you operate in.
The game has not changed in centuries. Only the names have.
Who controls the oil and the shipping lanes. Who grows the food and who is allowed to buy it. Which borders open and which close. War is the loudest outcome, not the common one. Usually it is a price jumping, a rule changing, or a door closing.
Your baguette in Paris costs more than it used to. Nobody in Paris decided that. Wheat and energy are priced a long way from the bakery, and so are your costs, your hiring, your suppliers and where you can operate.
